The Road

Written on 28th May 2008 in Kathmandu (Nepal)

Sitting on the floor,
Staring at a wooden door,
Thinking about life,
Analysing what is right.

Gathering all the thoughts,
Biting nails as if they were claws,
Sniffing in the filthy air,
But hey...do I really care?

Starting a journey is an adventure,
Captivating each victory and surrender,
It's not how I thought it would be,
It's so much better the way I see.

The comprehension of other cultures,
Which viewers may see as vultures,
The realisation of just being,
Without the need of actually seeing.

The purity of the heart,
The most marvelous of all arts,
The smile within an eye,
Means more than a mere sight.

We were born here to stay,
In whichever form we may,
It's just a matter of discovery,
Which leads to the road of recovery.
